Sunday, May 19, 2019, the culmination of a very busy week, concluded with my fellow Cruise Planners and I having the pleasure of a ship inspection on Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas!  We headed to Port Everglades and with ease, we got checked in and made it to the area where the boarding passengers wait for the ship to be cleared so we could be escorted on the ship. The waiting area was very well laid out and what caught my attention was an area where the kids could go play while their parents waited for their turn to board.  Way to go Royal Caribbean!

This was a guided tour and after a relatively short wait, we headed onto the ship with our guide.  Again, as with Princess, we immediately headed to the staterooms in order to see them before doors were closed to welcome the arriving passengers.  As a side note, one of fellow Cruise Planners was actually going to be embarking on the Allure of the Seas that day!  In a way, it made it even a little more special.  We were able to see the various staterooms and a few of the suites.  It was the first time I ever experienced inside and outside balconies!  Yes, inside balconies that overlook Boardwalk!  Once we finished the staterooms, we continued our guided tour to the various decks, each offering different opportunities to make new memories

When they say the Oasis class of ships are floating cities, believe it!  They are!  On the Allure of the Seas, we experienced Central Park, the Boardwalk, Rock climbing walls, adults only area (age 16 and above), the Spa and Gym, pools, the restaurants, shopping and more!  We walked through the Casino and I even spotted some folks “scoping it out” for what I only imagined to be to find their spot when the Casino opened!!

As we walked around, visited the various decks I noticed a few things.  The cruisers were multi-generational, families, couples and a mix of ethnicity's.  There is something on board to satisfy everyone’s interests and cravings.  After we roamed various decks, I think in excess of 10,000 steps later, we settled down for a buffet brunch in one of the small venues which is used for weddings as well as entertainment.  After lunch, we roamed a little more and then met up on deck 5 to disembark the ship.

It was a great experience and thank you Royal Caribbean for your hospitality and giving Cruise Planners a chance to experience the Allure of the Seas!!  If you are reading this on my web page blog, check out my Facebook page, Facebook/RCHDreamTravel for some photos!!

Happy Travels!!
